The Benefits of Gatorade 

 

1. Energy: Gatorade is a drink that contains a lot of carbohydrates, which is one of the main sources of energy for our bodies. An 8 oz bottle can contain 16 grams of carbohyrdates! It's highly recommended to have carbohydrates leading up to a big physical event and after the event. 

 

2. Avoid Dehydration: Dehydration is a condition that can occur in anyone. It can cause dizziness, headaches, muscle weakness, and more. This condition occurs when a person loses more fluids than they have taken in. Gatorade helps by containing a high amount of sodium that maintains the water balance in the body. An 8 oz bottle contains 95 mg of sodium.

 

3. Avoid Muscle Cramping: Potassium is what is used to help maintain and control muscles and nerves. Gatorade is a drink that contains enough potassium to prevent a muscle cramp during exercising. An 8 oz bottle contains 37 mililiters of potassium. 

 

4. The Taste: Gatorade comes in many different flavors that can get most people to like it! It also had a taste to it that stimulates people to drink more to prevent dehydration and muscle cramping.
